Classes
To facilitate individual attention to each child and enable their development, the maximum strength in each class has been kept at 30 children. The guiding principle is "You have not taught until children have learnt". The teaching faculty is selected through a rigorous selection process combined with a comprehensive programme of inservice training programme. Our teacher-pupil ratio stands at 1:15.
English
We aim at teaching our children to use English as effectively as they can in a wide variety of situations. English includes Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing. Children are encouraged and helped to talk clearly, confidently and with expression in order to communicate ideas or feelings. All children are provided with opportunities in all areas of the curriculum to develop skills in reading and writing.
Communicative Ability
The ability to communicate effectively is now a well established goal. To be able to operate effectively in the real world, students need plenty of opportunity to practise language in situations which encourage them to communicate their needs, ideas and opinions. We train children to communicate with others effectively, to acquire, develop and apply knowledge to think and solve problems and to respond and express their experiences.
Reading
One of the greatest gifts we can give a child is the ability to read. We believe that reading should be an enjoyable activity. Our school library is well-stacked with good books for kids.
Enriched Science Programme
We focus on 'learning by doing'. Children at the primary level are provided first hand learning experiences enabling them develop an innate interest in knowing more about their environment.
Audio-Visual Education
The school has a LCD projector and children are shown movies on a big screen that would help them in consolidating what they have learnt in the class.
Activity Based learning
We have based learning on innumerable activities and competitions for children. We encourage kids to conduct experiments right from lower classes. It makes learning meaningful and enjoyable.
House system
The children of class I and above are divided into 4 houses : The Lions, The Tigers, The Elephants and The Cheetahs. Various activities such as story telling, calligraphy, skits, dramas, dances, fancy dress, alpha games, sports, spell bee, drawing and colouring, treasure hunt, creative displays, dum charade, quiz are organised on interhouse basis.
Well trained staff
The teachers take keen interest in the progress of each and every child. We attend to the basic problems of each kid in reaching higher levels. The staff shower all their love and affection on the kids facilitating their growth and development. Our hardworking and dedicated staff provide a relevant and purposeful curriculum which respects and develops the individual interests, activities and talents of our children.
Preparation for all India competitive exams
We have planned to train up kids in a systematic way for All India Competitive Exams such as AIEEE, All India Medical Entrance Exam, CET right from school level. This demands a strong Science foundation to be laid down for kids right from lower classes. Whenever required special courses would be conducted for children to equip themselves with knowledge and confidence to do well in such selections.
Computer Education
Children will be exposed to computers right from I Standard. They learn not only computer skills but English, Science and Maths through computers.
Relief from Home work
The school has made earnest effort to get rid of the homework burden on the children. Hardly any homework is given in classes LKG to standard II. In III and above, we do like to get the children used to regular working at home. Still, the work entrusted is not heavy by any standards.
Examinations
LKG and UKG classes won't have any examination during the year. But primary classes will have regular examinations, the progress reports of which will be sent to the parents.
Music, dance, art, Physical Education
Provide the life-blood for the health and vitality of the whole community. We provide opportunities for all children to create, play and perform. We aim to develop the skills to appreciate and learn a rich variety of arts and crafts, beside physical education, yoga and gymnastics.
Links between Home and School
It is essential that parents, teachers and children all work together and we encourage good open communication between School and Home. We have an 'open door policy' and aim to do our very best for all our families.
