With Summer holidays around the corner, students will be all eager to utilize the holidays playing games they enjoy. However, parents must realize that holidays are also an excellent time for your kids to pick up some key skills via activities. Here are a few suggestions

1. Send them to summer camps
2. Get them enrolled in online Math competitions
3. Send them regularly to the public library to improve their reading skills
4. Send them to calligraphy courses
5. Send them for drawing and painting classes.
6. Encourage them to pick up and pursue hobbies like stamp collecting, coin collecting, gardening, etc.
7. Push them to create a collage from newspaper cuttings.
8. Ask them to take up an interesting vocation.

More importantly, you will also need to keep aside some time to engage with your kids meaningfully as a caregiver.

Jean Marc Duray, a French photographer who has 3 published albums to his credit today spent about an hour interacting with students of classes 6,7 and 8. He patiently answered the questions students posed him on his travels, his hobbies, his love for India (incidentally he is on his 9th trip to India) and his experiences of visiting more than 30 countries across the world.
It was a rich experience for the kids.

Hoops - a traditional popular drill refers to manipulation of and artistic movement or dancing with a hoop (or hoops). Hoops can be made of metal, wood or plastic. Hooping combines technical moves and tricks with freestyle or technical dancing. Hooping can be practiced to or performed with music.
