Yoga has been introduced from this year across all classes for students. Simple asanas that help improve their flexibility, concentration and enthuses the spirit of kids have been taught to them. The open concrete court serves as an excellent open air place for yoga practice.

66th Republic Day was celebrated in a grand style at the school. The Flag hoisting ceremony was followed by the distribution of the House Championship awards for the Senior and Junior houses. The Senior House Championship was bagged by Brahmos while the Junior house championship was netted by the Cheetah house.
Scroll down for photos This was followed by a skating demonstration by students from LKG to Class 7. The audience was spell bound with the performance. Next came a musical session with students from 5th, 6th and 7th showing off their skills in singing Gamaka - Gamaka, also known as gamak or gamakam, refers to ornamentation that is used in the performance of Indian classical music. Gamaka is any graceful turn, curve or cornering touch given to a single note or a group of notes, which adds emphasis to each raga's individuality. The Quiz program that was being eagerly awaited by the students was up next. 2 hours of quiz for classes 4,5,6 and 7 involving 16 rounds of general questions and 2 rounds of audio questions had the audience rooted to their seats. Teacher's Day was eventful with 2 dramas, 4 dances and some songs - all presented by teachers. Class 7 students engaged the lower classes for the day. We also had several competitions for teachers. The Rangoli competition was definitely a feast for the eyes for the kids. Here's a quick view of all the Rangolis.

The students of classes 4,5 and 6, Amrutha Varshini Vidyalaya, Kumarapatnam, Haveri District, engaged themselves in cleaning the banks of River Tungabhadra on 5th Feb 2014. About 150 students dedicated an hour to get rid of waste cloth, plastic, paper, glass and earthen pots that littered the banks of River Tungabhadra, ensuring visitors get clean spaces to enjoy the riverside. The exercise also involved teachers providing guidance to the students on the need to spread awareness against littering among their neighbours and friends.
About 90 students of Class 4 from Narmada and Tapati sections had been on a trip to Sringeri and Sirimane Falls. Along the way they covered Gajanur dam across River Tunga and the Kamandala Ganapati temple at Koppa. The two day trip was enjoyed by all the kids.
About 130 students from classes 3,4,5 and 6 presented 8 dance items on the eve of the annual Ayappa Swamy Deepotsava on 7th Dec, 2013 at the Gandhi Maidan in Harihar. Here are some snaps for your viewing pleasure
Titled 'Expand your Horizon', about 300 school children of Amruthavarshini Vidyalaya put up 80 exhibits across the subjects of science, geography, civics, biology, space, mathematics, anthropology and society as part of this exhibition. Exhibits were all geared to push the boundary of knowledge from the ordinary to awe inspiring. About 300 parents visited the exhibition in a span of 3 hours during which it was thrown open to general public. Kudos to all the participating children and teachers!!
