The students of classes 4,5 and 6, Amrutha Varshini Vidyalaya, Kumarapatnam, Haveri District, engaged themselves in cleaning the banks of River Tungabhadra on 5th Feb 2014. About 150 students dedicated an hour to get rid of waste cloth, plastic, paper, glass and earthen pots that littered the banks of River Tungabhadra, ensuring visitors get clean spaces to enjoy the riverside. The exercise also involved teachers providing guidance to the students on the need to spread awareness against littering among their neighbours and friends.
