Gandhi Jayanti celebrations today at school involved hoisting the tricolour, a community prayer for 45 minutes. This was followed by a quiz on Gandhiji and his life for students of classes 4,5,6 and 7. On the lead up to Gandhi Jayanti, children of higher classes were shown the film Gandhi on the 30th Sep and 1st Oct.
This was followed by the participation of 300 students, 60 teachers and the management in playing our part in the Swacch Bharat Abhiyan - We went to the village Kodiyal Hospet and for 2 hours cleaned the village surroundings. Children enthusiastically involved themselves in collecting plastic, paper and other scattered waste and dumping them in the designated places.
